FRANZISKA OUT AND ABOUT

This is an unusual posting, as you will have to admit. It does not provide any pictures of Franzi or stories of a day out-and-about, or descriptions of culinary highlights, but it does provide a perhaps different view on femininity and CD/TG in China. Being an engineer sure has advantages. If you make it through the program, you have good chances at securing a good job with a decent pay. Depending on the job, you get to travel the world and to discover new places. I have by now seen close to 70 different counties – both from private and business travel. Travelling broadens your mind, no question, for which reason I recommend it heartily. For over 25 years, I have used ultra-tight knee-high socks on my long-haul flights that are meant to prevent clogging in your veins, which can lead to all kinds of problems, including death. In the last couple of years, I have been able to take off “between the years,” as we call the period between Christmas and New Year in German. How is that period called in your language? This period is always a good opportunity for some Franzi time. In late 2025, I was able to take a day of Franzi time on one day and an evening of Franzi time on another day. The day of Franzi time was 10 hours long and it provided for a record of almost 12000 steps taken in these boots. I love these boots. I’ve had them for a couple of years already and you might remember them from my recent trip to Hamburg. “These boots are made for walkin’ “, Sinatra sang in this 1966 US No.1 hit. Another museum: nice, but less impressive. Still a good opportunity to practice some posing. Apparently, watching posing videos on Instagram isn’t paying off yet for Franzi. Speaking of Instagram, you can find Franziska there as well. All this social media stuff btw: blogging, reading blogs, CDH, Instagram, only takes place in Franzi’s reality, but not in that of her male alter ego. He’s on LinkedIn for professional reasons and that’s it. Towards the end of this trip, it feels that my hairdo is giving in. You might have noticed that I picked my medium length blonde wig for this trip, which is some 10 years old and – according to Franzi’s hairdresser – “has seen better times.” For my next trip, I will likely take my newer, long-length blonde wig.
