Handbag topics – The way Franzi does it

This is the first issue of “The way Franzi does it” in a long time. Under this rare category, I address certain crossdressing topics where I think Franzi has a specific approach that may be of interest to others. You can find the previous six “The way Franzi does it” if you select the label “Franzi'sWay.” Precious topics were  Preparing for a short outing My wigs T-Shirt arms The four key elements to passing as a woman – according to Franzi How I create curves Eye lashes   "The way Franzi does it!” (#7) I love handbags. To grab my packed and prepared handbag is the last thing I do, before I step through the door into the world presenting as a woman. Handbags are cute, feminine, and practical. I often wish I had the guts to carry something similar when out in drab. I also love it, if I am able to pull the handbag into the design and style of the outfit. Ideally (but very expensive), one has a matching handbag for every single outfit. Here is a trick that might help to a certain...

A quickie in 2018

Haha, this post title not only refers to the posting itself, which will be a very short one, but also to the underlying outing, which was just four hours long. It was in 2018, while I temporarily lived in another city during the week, where I was able to make use of weeknights for shorter, typically three-to-four-hour long outings.   The challenge with these short outings, was to get as much as possible prepared the evening before, to leave work on time, and to be out the door en femme by 7:00 p.m. “The way Franzi does it!” (#6)   Preparing for a short outing means the following for the evening before Entire outfit selected, checked, prepared Wig brushed and styled Handbag packed Make-up ready Curves ready Eyebrows groomed and styled Toenails polished For the outing itself it means No fake lashes (unless you are very fast at applying these properly) No polished fingernails (unless you use press-on nails that match your toenails) Applying these rules, it takes me just a little ...

Retrospection – Pink ice cream and pink lingerie

This was one of those short 4-h weeknight outings and this posting will also be a short one, as time is sparse right now. We will be travelling to Italy for the upcoming Easter holidays, and I just want to make sure one more posting goes out before.  It was late spring, June 2018, and what do you do as a girl out in late spring? You wear some pink lingerie, pink sandals, a colorful dress, and you get yourself some pink ice cream! There are no more photos from this evening, so I guess not much happened after this highlight, other than dinner somewhere and - possibly - a glass of wine towards the end of the evening. Portrait of the evening Franziska enjoying an ice cream   “The way Franzi does it!” (#5)   To fatten up this posting, let me tell you a little bit about my wigs. In my crossdressing life, I have gone through a number of wigs: short, long, blond, dark, etc. Some of them, I bought at costume shops in the US and in Germany, some of them, I bought on Guangdong ...

Next steps!

Those crossdressers amongst you who go out en femme regularly – like me – how often do you have a chance to do that? For me, that is about once per month. If I manage to have 12-15 full days out and about, it is a great year in terms of crossdressing. There are many reasons for which I do not manage to take these precious days out of my regular agenda, such as: a full life as a man and husband, a demanding corporate job, private responsibilities, such as organizing or fixing things, many other interests, shared and pursued together with my wife, such as travelling/vacationing, active sports, visiting friends, being visited by friends, visiting wine festivals, going to museums, etc. … Writing out this list, I now wonder how I find time at all to let Franziska off the leash.   The year 2023 was one of those years where it seemed very difficult to set aside Franzi-time. A weekend trip to Cologne in mid-June was Franzi’s first chance in the year at all to resurface. But it was a great ...

Weekend trip crossdressed: Dressing up for Dracula

“Deutsches Theater Munich” was showing “Dracula” as a musical that night. So, how do you dress up for Count Dracula? A sparkly LBD, fishnets, heels, an anklet, and a choker sounded about right. At “Deutsches Theater Munich” before the show and during intermission. A night cap at the hotel bar. “The way Franzi does it!” (#3)   The four key elements to passing as a woman – according to Franzi. Going out en femme is a fantastic experience and so much fun. And if the impression grows on you that you can pass as a woman, it gets even better.   It is my ambition to pass – in other words, I prefer to pass over being read. According to my experience, there are four key elements to passing as a woman:  outfit, face, gait, and posture. Those are the four key challenges that I continue to work on every time I go out.   Putting together a fantastic outfit is very easy if you have a good sense for style, colors, and fabrics – and if you have a full closet to choose from. I compos...

Weekend trip crossdressed: Exploring Munich’s shopping quality

Unfortunately, the weather was very poor that day and Franziska had to flee the streets into a café, a shop, or a bar on several occasions. This is the outfit of the day, a striped dress (as you will see in a bit), burgundy suede ankle boots, and a light double-breasted coat. A rain shower drove Franziska into this long-standing Munich bakery for a yummy Caf è  Latte. “Greetings from Munich” is what it says on the gingerbread heart. The white and blue rim designates that it as Bavarian. It is white and blue, not blue and white in Bavaria, don’t get that wrong. One for the Irish amongst my readers 😗 . I love dress shopping, did I mention that before? The “Viktualienmarkt” – initially a farmer’s market in the center of Munich – close to the well-known landmark “Frauenkirche” (Cathedral of Our Dear Lady, NOT Women’s Church), is a place I have visited a number of times in my life. It is a great place to try and buy delicacies – and to have a drink somewhere. Another landmark in Munich...

Next steps!

Since my last recollection under the post title “Next Steps!” on March 10, 2023, Franziska has provided you with 9 postings, including those covering a fantastic 3-day trip crossdressed to Stuttgart in July 2022. Just thinking about this, about the beautiful clothes I got to wear and the wonderful outfits I was able to put together, makes me shiver. By now, I have taken two more trips en femme, one covering four days – Thursday till Sunday – in November 2022 to Munich and one covering two days en femme (followed by a return trip in drab on Sunday morning) just recently to Cologne. Both trips were again nothing less than fantastic. All plans worked out fine, no issues arose, and I was again able to experience new activities en femme and to wear wonderful new outfits.  Next week, I will start to report about the trip to Munich in a total of eight blog postings. These include activities enjoyed en femme, such as train traveling, eating out, shopping, exploring Schwabing, strolling ove...
