Weekend trip crossdressed: Lunch, one last “Altbier," and the trip home.

After that much exciting art, lunch was in order. Finding a good restaurant was a little more difficult than expected. After a while, I found the perfect place, though: the terrace of one of Düsseldorf’s top hotels at the end of Königsallee (King’s Avenue), Düsseldorf’s posh shopping street. And guess what, they were also serving oysters and that in a very classical arrangement. So, what are you seeing her in this picture: four French oysters, two pieces of lemon, wrapped in a lemon sleeve, red scallion vinaigrette, rye bread with cheese, and a glass of bubbles – a pink crémant. To me, that all makes sense, and it tasted just wonderful. I spare you the cultural and nutritive background of this combination, though. The mini French baguette is a little misplaced here, but it was good anyway. Hauptbahnhof (Central Station). In German, we tend to combine words into one. According to the Guinness book of records, the longest German word is Donaudampfschifffahrtselektrizitätenhauptbetriebswe...

Weekend trip crossdressed: The Class of 2024

If you have read my previous posting, you know what to expect: lots of pictures of Franzi in front of art. I love posing in front of art. It is like becoming part of it. The Class of 2024 of  „Kurfürstlich Pfälzische Akademie der Maler-, Bildhauer- und Baukunst.“ (Electoral Palatinate Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture) or short „Düsseldorfer Kunstakademie“ (Academy of arts Düsseldorf)  presented its graduation assignments. Between 10:15 and 11:00 am it was still pretty slow and fairly empty here, but then more and more visitors showed up and, eventually, also the graduates. The building itself is very impressive for its size, as you have seen in my previous posting. There are lots or rooms and staircases. And apparently there must have been a party recently, because the open balcony was covered in trash and empty, as well as shattered beer bottles. Students! I know what I am taking about. I assume he is dead, that guitarist. Drugs, suicide? You never know. Unfort...

Eye Candy of the Month December 2024

I am very happy to announce with that final posting of the year 2024 that Franziska had been picked as “Eye Candy of the Month December 2024” by Glamour Boutique. I hope you enjoy text and pictures. I wish all of you all the best for 2025 and look forward to hearing from you again in the new year.  From  Glamour Boutique's  December 29, 2024 Newsletter: One of the most fun aspects of meeting new 'Eye Candy' girls is learning about where they are from. Listening to what we all have in common but also the subtle differences of style and lifestyle is so interesting. Meet the beautiful Franziska from central Germany .  We think she is a picture of European 'chic' and her outfits and appearance look flawless. Although a busy professional, she finds time to plan and execute en femme outings as time allows. Read, learn and view about what goes in to her outfits and her lovely pictures . Also, she tells us of the 2 U.S. actresses she admires and why. We also include a ...

“Mamma Mia!”

I trust that you have all had peaceful holidays, as I assume that those who hadn’t, surely weren’t in the mood to read my blog. My spirit has been pretty bad of late – watching the news too often and reading about AI too much, I guess – which occasionally leads to such depressed and uninspiring sentences. I am sorry about that. This is still the last day out and about in 2018. After an uneventful afternoon, culture was in order again this evening, when Franziska headed to “Alte Oper.” A brief recap: “Alte Oper” and “Frankfurter Oper” are two different venue with different uses. Please check my posting from 12.12.2022. After the recent visit to “Frankfurter Oper” to see “Ariadne on Naxos,” a heavy and depressing opera by Richard Strauss, this time was fun time,  seeing and hearing   Benny and Björn’s “Mamma Mia!” at  “Alte Oper.” The element connecting these two entirely different musical performances is: Greece. If you have not yet seen this musical or the 2008 movie wit...

Anniversary post - celebrating one year “Franziska out and about”

To this day, it is exactly one year that I started this blog. And – if you have read my blog from the beginning on – it is not just that I started  this  blog, no, it was the start to my “blogging career” at large, as the thought of blogging had never crossed  my  mind before. My profile picture However, conviction grew with me in the course of 2022 that my - mostly very enjoyable - experiences of venturing out en femme into the real world should to be shared. It is also a lot of fun to select pictures for Franziska’s blog and to recollect what has happened during the outings. I t is also a lot of work and can be time-consuming at times to maintain a somewhat flourishing blog. I also keep an eye on blog statistics and am happy to share some of these with you today. Year one blog statistics # of postings: 58 (more than one per week) # of clicks overall: 24.170 (I am very happy with that number) # of comments (including my replies): 171 (more would be great, as I ...

Moving backwards in time: JANUARY 2019: Evening

“Hessischer Rundfunk“ (HR) is the public broadcaster in the state of Hesse and member of the nationwide network of state public broadcasters in Germany. I love public radio by the way (and public TV, but I watch very little TV). HR has its own Symphonic Orchestra, a Big Band, and a large broadcasting studio, where they host a multitude of events. On that day, Franziska enjoyed the HR Big Band with Fado & More: Cristina Branco at the HR studios.  Outfit of the evening, a blue and white jumpsuit, worn with 8 cm blue high heels (the color of which matches the blue of the jumpsuit, even though it doesn’t look that way in this picture) in the foyer of the HR Sendesaal. Posing for a picture next to the stage during the break. Portrait of the evening (later that night at a bar).

Moving backwards in time: DECEMBER 2019: Evening

The so-called Old Opera Frankfurt is nowadays used for concerts and musicals, rather than operas, as it was rebuilt - after severe WW-II damage - only in the 70’s and after the new Frankfurt Opera House had already been established. It provides very good acoustics and possesses a huge and beautiful pipe organ, that I have yet to hear in action. Portrait of the evening. Leaving home and heading for the “Alte Oper” in Frankfurt. The performance that evening, “Bodyguard”, was on the lighter scale of Franziska’s cultural spectrum, but also fun. In the picture below, Franziska was enjoying a drink before the show.
