Shopping - dinner - wine bar

Day one of two in May 2022: This will be a short one, meaning not much to write about that day. I am not sure if you, dear visitors to my blog, care about descriptions, background, and stories at all – as I, unfortunately, receive very few comments from you – or if you are here for the pictures alone. Anyway, this day in May was uneventful in a literal sense: shopping - dinner - wine bar.

Outfit of the day: a simple brown dress, flat shoes, and a short brown leather jacket. A highlight of the outfit is the playful necklace. I hope you like it as much as I do.

Dinner at an Italian restaurant in downtown Frankfurt – again one of the regular spots that Franziska visits.

And again, the same wine bar in Frankfurt-Sachsenhausen, this time sitting outside and enjoying a glass of Syrah (Shiraz that is, my American and Australian friends).

  1. That's another pretty outfit.
Your blog is quite new and trans blogs are quite a niche part of the internet so it may take months, probably years, to build up enough following to get lots of comments. There are also technical reasons. Although you write in English (and your English is excellent) the navigation tools of your blog are in German, which is offputting for those who have little or no German (I only did one year of German at school). Also, it's slightly harder to comment if readers don't have Wordpress accounts themselves. But if you keep blogging you will eventually have enough followers to have a conversation this way. Your blog is being followed by T-Central now, which is a great trans metasite, so that will give you more publicity.

    1. Dear Sue, Thank you very much for your very valuable tips. When I visit my own blog, I see a mixture of German and English, which I always find mysterious. I will check where in Blogger I can have that adjusted to English only. I’d love to spend some more time getting to know the community, but lack the time to do so. Free time is so sparse at the moment - for a number of different reasons - that I have not been out as Franziska in over two months. In Blogger’s statistics, I can see that there are about 100 visitors per blog entry, which I am very happy about. It motivates me to write and to post, and I’d love to receive more comments on what to address or focus on in my postings. Thanks for your compliment on my English. I have been working in an international environment all of my professional life and have spent several years in graduate school in the US (a very long time ago). Franzi.

    2. I am a professional linguist so I did wonder about your background in learning and using English. If you are an engineer then it's essential these days.
I notice you have changed the blog settings to English and this makes your text and the apparatus consistent.
I thought I'd comment more on what you could include in a trans blog. Everyone likes to read about a TGirl's adventures in public and to see her photos, so that's a really good basis for your posts. I find from my statistics that readers don't respond so well to negative stories and emotions, but they like reading about clothes, either ones I've just bought or types of clothes I like. The highest readership always arises when you mention underwear in the title of a post. Yes, my dear, the internet world is so intellectual! If I have something serious to say about transphobia or politics or something like that, I find that mentioning stockings or panties or bras brings all the readers! Maybe I'll include a small paragraph about underwear so they don't get too annoyed, but they have to read my serious point first! I have now given away a big secret about trans blogging lol!
I look forward to your next adventures. Have a good week.
      Love Sue x

    3. Dear Sue, Those surely are interesting findings you report about and not really compliments for human kind. But I understand your approach and will keep that in mind. Thanks for sharing your big secret. Love, Franzi

  2. Continuing on with what Sue said, you may want to select English as a native language in Blogger for this blog, and have a separate one in German that parallels this one to avoid the problem Sue mentions.

    1. Dear Marian, Thanks for your visit and comment. I am very happy to learn who is visiting my blog. As you and Sue have recommended, I’ll look into the language settings. Keeping a separate German blog seems not necessary, as most Germans can understand English reasonably well and my text contributions tend to not be very complex. Franzi.

  3. "...about descriptions, background, and stories at all – as I, unfortunately, receive very few comments from you..."

It does seem to take a while to build up a blog. As others have said, commenting on other blogs regularly seems to help. Also, replying and building a sense of community on your own can as well.

You mention descriptions, and for me, I do care. I know some people love a simple photostream (Flickr, Instagram, etc), but I do like to read the background. For example, why pick that venue or outfit? How where you feeling on the day or indeed afterwards? Who did you talk to? etc

    1. Dear Lynn, Thank you for taking the time to visit and to leave a comment. I am very happy to hear that you (and I assume others as well) want to read some background on my outings. I also like your thought and suggesting to write how things have felt for me during and after my outings. That will surely become easier, as I will start to post about more recent outings. I have a series of seven postings ready on my first-ever all en femme weekend trip in July 2022 that I will start in two weeks. That trip felt so fantastic that I did a second one in late 2022 and have one booked for June 2023 already. Franzi.

Wer mich finden will wird mich finden.
