Weekend trip crossdressed: Playing with the arts!

Still at “Kunstmuseum Stuttgart” and in Tobias Rehberger’s exhibition >>I do if I don’t<<.

Imagine a large screen, a projector, and some controls. When you enter the space between projector and screen and stand still for a second or two, the shadow you create is frozen onto the screen. You move on – in this case from left to right and towards the screen – and repeat. This is how the image below of Franziska’s shadows was created. After a certain time has passed (let’s say 30 seconds), the shadows start to fade in the same sequence as they were created - you fade away (take this as a metaphor if you wish). This is how you become part of a temporary work of art. And if you take photographs of it, it becomes eternal. Fantastic, isn’t it?

As much as I enjoy crossdressing, it does not qualify as paradise – for me that is. That may be very different for others in the greater community. Nonetheless, I like this image and the message. The picture was taken by an unsuspecting Korean visitor to the museum, unsuspecting also, because Asians simply love taking pictures and having pictures of them taken. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a little dark.

And this one also provides for some “messages,” Franziska’s image in a broken mirror.
