A quickie in 2018

Haha, this post title not only refers to the posting itself, which will be a very short one, but also to the underlying outing, which was just four hours long. It was in 2018, while I temporarily lived in another city during the week, where I was able to make use of weeknights for shorter, typically three-to-four-hour long outings.

 

The challenge with these short outings, was to get as much as possible prepared the evening before, to leave work on time, and to be out the door en femme by 7:00 p.m.

Preparing for a short outing means the following for the evening before

• Entire outfit selected, checked, prepared
• Wig brushed and styled
• Handbag packed
• Make-up ready
• Curves ready
• Eyebrows groomed and styled
• Toenails polished

For the outing itself it means

• No fake lashes (unless you are very fast at applying these properly)
• No polished fingernails (unless you use press-on nails that match your toenails)

Applying these rules, it takes me just a little over one hour to get ready.

A word on lashes: I have been using a lash serum for several years and by now have long and full lashes - not strikingly so - but such that they look nice and feminine for everyday purposes with a decent amount of mascara.

Back to my posting text.

These type of outings followed a regular scheme: a short visit to the department store before it closed, dinner, and possibly a nightcap at some bar.

This and the following two postings report on outings that followed that very scheme.

At the department store

Dinner at a very nice hotel restaurant. The restaurant was typically very busy, but with a little luck you were able to get a seat at the bar to the open kitchen, something I’ve always liked. I had been to this restaurant a few times and one time the maître de maison stopped by to say, “How nice to see you again, madam.” Re-recognition at its best!
