Weekend trip crossdressed: She had legs so long, she could walk along the riverbank in her short dress and create a coffee-themed sculpture
What an AI failure! I had asked to create a funny headline for this posting by using its keywords. I will revert to writing them myself. That’s decided.
Saturday morning and ready to hit the town. Düsseldorf has a reputation for stylish clothes. So this was a great opportunity for my wonderful scuba dress to make a showing again.
Portrait of the day
“Die Streitenden” (bickerers) or “Auseinandersetzung” (dispute) are names for this well-known sculpture in Düsseldorf’s Mittelstraße (Middle Street). The figures are also called “Der Dicke” (the corpulent one) and “Der Dünne” (the skinny one) – no wonder. “Das Schnuckelchen” (the cutie) is what my wife would call the one in the middle. I hope you agree!
And then I found a lovely little café where I stopped for a Café Latté.
Further down my path through the city center, I came along a small patch of green around Neanderkirche.
If you remember my reference to Neandertal (Neander valley) in an earlier posting, you might now think that this church is named after that valley or the Neanderthals themselves. Nope. It is named after protestant preacher and Christian songwriter Joachim Neander, who spent a couple of years working in Düsseldorf in the 1670s. During this time, he often visited the nearby valley that was later named after him. That means that the Neanderthals, who lived in this valley 40.000 years earlier and whose remains were discovered and identified as a separate human species (homo neanderthalensis) in the 1850s, are named after a protestant preacher from the city of Bremen. Keep it in mind, as that could be your one-million-dollar answer.
The church itself, located in the middle of Düsseldorf’s Old Town, surrounded by pubs and breweries, served as a wonderful backdrop for this photo-hungry crossdresser.
Same picture, zoomed in. I particularly like this picture detail. I don’t know why. It may be this long leg thing again 😀.
My weekend trip cross-dressed fell in that time-period when the EURO 2024 was still running and just like Frankfurt, Düsseldorf of course had a fan-zone along the riverbank as well: different river though, “Frankfurt am Main” and “Düsseldorf am Rhein.” And this is where I took a break to have what turned out to be an awfully sweet mocktail.
The morning ended with a boat tour on the river Rhein. It was deadly boring and it was pretty cold. On board, I shared a table with two young mothers. And while there was some interaction with me, they were too busy with themselves and their children to notice anything (strange) about me.
DeleteWow! You look so beautiful - and young! That dress really suits you. It's always lovely to read about trans girls' adventures out and about.
ReplyDeleteYou could ask your AI to write some of Donald Trump's speeches. Then they would make more sense than the ones he actually gives!
Sue x
Dear Sue, Thank you so much for your visit and comment and your wonderful compliment. I sometimes wonder myself. It feels that I could easily look 10 years younger en femme than in drab. What does that say about women my age that look their age? And I know the answer. It is not the looks that count in life! How are your travel plans coming along? Love, Franzi
DeleteLiebe Franzi, Du siehst fantastisch in Deinem süßen Scuba-Kleid aus! Tolles Posting über Dein Crossdressing-Wochenende.
ReplyDeleteAlles Liebe, Nadine
Hello Franzi, another fantastic blog! I love reading about your adventures. Your outfit is very beautiful and I'm always impressed by the quality of the photos you take. When I go out, I always find it a struggle to take a good selfie which is far enough away to include my outfit. What is your secret? A tripod and time delay on the camera, or do you ask passers by perhaps?
