A day with three wigs – Part 1: Lunch and another compliment

This Saturday in mid-April 2025 was special for several reasons. Having worn three different wigs within one day was only one of them.

I had started to plan this day out-and-about about two months earlier by calling Franzi’s hairdresser – the one who has been washing and styling my wigs for several years – for an appointment. This time it was not to drop off or pick up a wig, but to have an in-salon appointment for a styling. He and I had talked about that before and this time I made an appointment for early afternoon today. It was time for Franzi to experience that feminine pleasure of sitting in a salon and have somebody work on your hair to make you look the most attractive.

It was a warm and sunny day and I decided on one of my short and colorful summer dresses, with 5 denier nylons, white sandals, and a white blazer – just in case.

Portraits of the day. Granted, this wig urgently needed to be taken care of.

As many times before, I took the bus from our local bus stop to Südbahnhof (Frankfurt south station).

From “Südbahnhof,” I walked to one of my favorite local restaurants, a typical “Apfelweinwirtschaft” (apple wine pub). You can find this type of pub-restaurants throughout all of Frankfurt’s older boroughs. Many of them press their own "Apple Wine" and all of them serve "Green Sauce" as an accompaniment to a variety of dishes. Please check my posting “The wilds of culinary Frankfurt” for all the details on "Apple Wine" and "Green Sauce."

Sitting outside in the courtyard of “Kanonesteppel.”

Enjoying "Green Sauce" with hard boiled eggs and taters and an "Apple Wine - sauergespritzt.”

And for desert: "Heisse Apfelküchle mit Vanille-Eis und hausgemachter Aprikosensoße" (Hot apple fritters with vanilla ice cream and homemade apricot sauce).

Funny side story: at one of the neighboring tables sat a couple, I would say in their mid-60’s. When she went to the bathroom, he leant over towards me and said “If I were alone, I would have very much enjoyed sitting with you.” I guess that is a compliment.

Bericht folgt kommende Woche. Liebe Grüße und einen schönen Urlaub. Franzi

    1. Ah, but Franzi, you know that wearing makeup takes ten years off a TGirl's looks, and another ten years are lost by looking cute and classy with great hair, and another ten years because we are happy to be our feminine selves, and another ten years because we act young. I'm sure he thought you were in your 20s and innocent and naive ;-)

I know these TGirl "admirers" ...and they are all creepy old men. Ha ha.
