Friday! I skipped breakfast – as usual. I have been eating two meals per day only for several years now and these tend to be a light (fruit OR salad OR leftovers) lunch and a well-deserved multiple-course dinner with wine and all the works. These restrictions are what helps me maintain my dress size as well 😉.
Portrait of the day
Outfit number three: a dress my wife had recently bought for me. And ankle boots again – pair number three – in kind of a mud color to go with the dress. Unfortunately, I do not yet own pink or petrol ankle boots. Something to put on my shopping list.
And what goes very well with the dress, are that leather jacket and scarf, I think. Do you agree?
The mission of the day was to buy a black winter coat, both stylish and feminine, but for the most part, one allowing me to leave the house in cold and stormy weather as well. Crossdressing should not be limited by season or weather. I want to be able to leave home as Franziska in any weather condition that my ambient environment faces me with.
That mission was challenging and I moved back and forth between the major department stores and malls several times until I decided. And at one point, I came across a Champagne bar at one of the malls. And it should not be a surprise to you that I was unable to walk past it. And the color of my Champagne should be an obvious choice. Interestingly, we visited Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin, located in the city of Reims, during our recent vacation in France.
And in that whole shopping process, I passed Hamburg’s town hall several times, this time - obviously - after successful conclusion of the mission and on the way to a well-deserved lunch.
“Passagenviertel” (arcades quarter) is a wonderful section of and an architectural phenomenon in Hamburg’s city center. Each arcade possesses a completely unique flair. One of the most prominent shopping opportunities in “Passagenviertel” is “Alsterhaus”, a 24.000 square meter mall, spread over six floors of a store built in 1912.
Close to it, Franzi happened to know a stylish restaurant and, serendipitously, there was a table available to enjoy pasta and salmon in a creamy sauce.
While the pasta dish was very enjoyable, the culinary highlight of this lunch, though, was this chocolate cake, filled with warm, molten chocolate. They stated on the menu that it will take at least 15 minutes to prepare. And it was well worth waiting 15 minutes.
And you know this spot back at the hotel bar already and the drink that this supposed cougar enjoyed before heading up to her room to prepare for the evening at “Elphi.” Have you heard of “Elphi” before?

I am a big fan of floral dresses and yours is gorgeous. You are one lucky lady to have a wife who buys you dresses! I love the jacket, too (you have lots of fabulous jackets).
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great place for shopping and eating. I look forward to admiring your new winter coat some time. Beware of creamy sauce and chocolate pudding, though, or you'll not fit into that dress much longer!
Sue xx
Dear Sue, Thanks for your comment. You'll get to see the new winter coat in the next posting :-) And you'll get to learn about "Elphi"! Love, Franzi
DeleteGuten Morgen Franzi! At least here it is right now. Good to see you over on CDHeaven also. The Hamburg trip sounds amazing, u are quite the seasoned lady traveler now. Once again I'm astounded at the old, old history evident in Germany. Our history here in western Canada goes back maybe 200 years not 2000 years. Love your outfits but you know I was thinking that if you and I were out having lunch together people might mistake us for sisters possibly twins. Wish I could send a pic of me. You can find my articles with pics over on CDH under the moniker "Fatima". Yes I do have a multiple split personality, LOL. Cheers and I look forward to your next blog.
ReplyDeleteDear Brianna, Thanks for your comment. Responses to my recent article at CDH (https://www.crossdresserheaven.com/hamburg-or-seven-outfits-in-four-days/) were very sparse, as compared to previous ones. I wonder why. But I do remember interacting with Fatima. Thanks for the clarification. Love, Franzi
