Next steps: Yet another weekend trip crossdressed!

Meticulously planned weeks and months in advance, Franziska visited the city of Aachen – more precisely “Bad Aachen,” as the city is officially recognized as a “Heilbad” (bad = bath in German, spa town) – for yet another weekend trip crossdressed.

As all regular readers of this blog know, Franziska’s most favorite en femme pastimes are enjoying food and wine at restaurants, hence the chosen by-name “The culinary crossdresser” and going on weekend trips. Stana, the host of “Femulate” had awarded me the honor in April 2025 to feature a short article on "Going places en femme.”

Why Aachen? Most of you, unless historically inclined or interested in equitation, will likely never have heard of this city of some 250.000 inhabitants, close to the triple point of Germany, Belgium, and The Netherlands before. It is a beautiful city and with three hours on the ICE high-speed train from Frankfurt, it is not too far away for a weekend trip.

But Aachen (Aix-la-Chapelle, Aken, Aquisgrán, Aquisgranum, Akwizgran) is also a city of great historical importance. Charlemagne / Carl the Great made Aachen his main residence, from where he reigned over the Frankish Empire, which included – at one point in time – Germany, France, BeNeLux, Austria, Switzerland, major parts of Italy, including Rome, and small parts of Spain and Poland. The Frankish Empire saw its peak with the coronation of Charlemagne to become a Roman Emperor on Christmas day of the year 800 in the City of Rome. Charlemagne’s remains can be found in the “Dom St. Marien zu Aachen” (Cathedral Aachen).

But foremost, Aachen is the city of my Alma Mater. It is where I had spent my wild student years, it is where I knew – at that time – all pubs open past 1 a.m. Hence, this weekend trip crossdressed was also a trip down memory lane to places I hadn’t visited in over 25 years.

Packing for a weekend trip always starts with putting together the required number of outfits – five this time. In one of my previous postings, I told you that I try to pick a variety of different outfits for my trips, such as long, short, pants, flats, high heels, etc. This time I took a different approach using a motto: Greens and Blues

I had also reported before that I pick some targets, objectives, challenges for my trips: One of these was to interact more with people. And I did! And it was both nerve-wracking and fun at the same time.

Stay tuned for the upcoming postings on Franzi visiting the city of Aachen.
